Take a Break and Network with At-Home Dads Convention
Wednesday September 17, 2008
Need a quick fix to not knowing any fellow stay-at-home dads while solving the problem of needing a break from the family? The annual At-Home Dads Convention should do the trick. The convention is in its 13th year and is convening the weekend of Nov. 8 in Sacramento, Calif., the first time the convention has taken place outside of the Midwest. The meat of the convention is a daylong Saturday event with educational sessions and discussion groups on issues that at-home dads face. There are also events planned throughout the weekend, including a wine-tasting tour, a meet and greet, a dinner and possibly an NBA game. Convention organizers are calling for as many dads as possible to register by the end of September. So get cracking and find an easy way to end that isolated feeling.
